The Texas Military Forces Museum at Camp Mabry details the rich history of military forces from 1823 to 1903, when Congress created the National Guard. This museum also tells the story of the present-day Texas Army and Air National Guard as well as the Texas State Guard. 

Through permanent exhibits that showcase uniforms, weapons, personal items, equipment, battle dioramas, and full-scale depictions, visitors can learn about the role that the Texas Military Forces played in the Texas Revolution, the Texas Republic, the Mexican War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War.
